Matt is a saxophonist and woodwind specialist who has been playing in the Cleveland-Youngstown-Pittsburgh area for over 40yrs. In that time he has performed everything from Broadway Musicals to Rhythm&Blues and anything in-between.

He studied saxophone with Dr. James Umble and Jazz Improvisation with Tony Leonardi at Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music.

His playing credits include Smokey Robinson(featured soloist), the Temptations, the 4 Tops, Roberta Flack, Tony Bennett, Barry Manilow, Johnny Mathis and many more.

Matt has also taught extensively at every level including Elementary, Intermediate and High school in the Ohio public school system, and as adjunct faculty at The Dana School of Music.

Matt continues to perform extensively with his own quartet “The Matt Ferraro Group (MFG)” and as a highly sought after freelance musician in the eastern Ohio/western Pennsylvania area.
